Adams County Toy Drive Adams County Fire Rescue and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office held their annual holiday toy drive at the Walmart Supercenter in Thornton, 9901 Grant St. on December 9th, 2023. Community members were asked to donate new, unwrapped toys for children, ages 14 and under. Boyer’s Coffee and Hammond’s Candy provided free treats to those who donated.

Fall Prescribed Burn The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service held a prescribed burn at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge on November 19th, 2023. Firefighters burned about 400 acres inside the bison area.
